Which Language Is "Ten Srenilria"?

Sat Jun 25, 2005 8:06 am

I've come across this word a couple of times during the last weeks and I was wondering what it means. Actually I've googled it and there is only weird stuff coming up.

Is it English, because of the "10" in the beginning? I mean like Irish or Scottish? Looks kind of Scottish to me.

I thought I might ask this question here where there are people from all over the place.

That "ten" could also come from the verb "tener" (to have) in Spanish... but it's not Spanish (and I guess it's not any other Romance language).

It sounds like Sdrowkcab - a language spoken by the natives on the russian border of eastern mongolia . Where did you come across the expression ?

Either you're playing a prank on us or you haven't thought of reading the words backwards...

WestWing, you just saved my life. Luckily being on the university computer means I can run 2 flys down to the library in no time... I checked the dictionaries, and you are right. Now I can sleep much better.
(Except that the dialect is called Sdrawkcab, with an a instead of an e)

Well don't worry, at least you were the first one to come up with a correct answer after 21 people clicked the thread and didn't!
