The Worst View From A Hotel Room I Have Seen...

Tue Jun 28, 2005 4:55 am

A family on a vacation in Greece. The travel agency promised a nice view from the hotel room but all they saw was a lot of toilets (As you can see at the end of the article)...

Here's the view from my hotel room in Brussels. The filthiest city in Europe.

Here's a photo I've taken in HongKong where I spent few days several years ago with my brother and a friend. The room is at the 14th story of the hotel, and we have a view on... a wall, the wall of the hotel next to ours. We cannot see the limit of the wall, neither up, neither down, neither on the left, neither on the right. The window is lock, I guess this is for preventing suicide. I agree that with this sort of view, lot of people would jump through  Smile

If I remember correct, the price of this room for one night is something like 150 euros !!

I've been in a hotel in Athens where the view was a grubby block of flats enclosing a corrugated iron roof. It was quite interesting the acoustic effect from throwing Skittles onto it...

I've also stayed in one with no view - in Reykjavik. For those people who can't take 24 hour daylight.
