Seen Metallica* a few times, Kiss a few times, Rush, Poison, Rod Stewart (I really didn't want to go to that one), Pantara, Reba McIntire, George Strait, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chamber, Linkin Park.

I think that's it.

Oh wow.

Glass Tiger, 1986 and 1987, I think.
I think I also saw Mr. Mister around 1986 or 1987.
They Might Be Giants, 1990.
Colin James, 1990.
INXS, 1991. Amazing concert!
Madonna, 1993 - Girlie Show tour.
Garbage, 1998 and 1999. When they came to Seattle for their 1998 tour, a friend of mine got me into a little private recording session they did for The End radio station here in Seattle.
Alanis Morrissette, 1999 (with Garbage opening)
Peter Gabriel, 2001 and 2002 - at WOMAD USA and then the Growing Up tour. Also incredible.
But that was when I ruled the world

Too many to list, but Notables –

Prince – New Year’s Eve 1999
U2 – that was a damn good show

Quoting Superfly (Reply 5):
Willie Nelson 2003

The same year I saw Willie. Austin, Texas.

Nice list Superfly, mimics mine. Were we stalking each other’s women?

I see you went to The Who in 2002. Before or after John Entwistle kicked the bucket? My buddy was going to that show in Vegas before he overdosed.

Seen Metallica* a few times

A) I went to their show at the Inglewood Forum on 3/5/2004, it kicked ass!
B) That's the only concert I've ever been to... (Don't laugh)
C) When I was there, Godsmack opened for Metallica, and in between the acts, we (my friend Daniel and I) were waiting. His mom and brother had gone to get refreshments, so we were just sitting there. All of a sudden, we hear this yelling behind us, and before we know it, there's this huge-ass fight one row above us. 10-12 people, security had to be called up. Daniel and I are just sitting there, watching and enjoying. Oh yeah, and later, some chick flashed the entire arena... No comment on that!  Wink

HA! I was just thinking about starting a similar thread about 10 min. ago!!!
Anyway, I went to an Oasis concert on Friday....i have never had so much fun in all my life; I'm not even joking! They have been my favorite band since 1995, and everytime I see them, its better than the last! I loved it so much that I am even flying to Cleveland to see them in September. I'm from just outside Manchester England, so I think that has something to do with it also!  Smile

Anyway here's my list:

Oasis
Jet
No Doubt
Outkast
Nelly
Lauren Hill
3 doors down
Foo Fighters
and a few others at some "festival's" where it seems like 300 bands so up!

Mike

Metallica, Anthrax, Testament, Slayer, Nuclear Assault, Megadeth, Dan Reed Network, Bon feckin Jovi, Aerosmith, Balaam Angel, Wasp, Cinderella, Dio plus a few others I can't remember from mid 80's to early 90's in Belfast and Donnington.

Then I took a different direction: Therapy? (a lot), Happy Mondays, Silverfish, Gallon Drunk, The Farm, The La's, Northside, Stereo MC's, 808 State, Underworld, Orbital, The Chemical Brothers (a helluva lot), Glastonbury '99, REM (recently in NZ, one of my favourites), Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, The Wonder Stuff, Kingmaker... and numerous world class DJ's.

Can't think of anymore. My long term memory is so much better than my short term.  biggrin

Nice list Superfly, mimics mine. Were we stalking each other’s women?

I see you went to The Who in 2002. Before or after John Entwistle kicked the bucket? My buddy was going to that show in Vegas before he overdosed.

It would have been after he died, when they brought Pino Palladino in as an emergency replacement. Entwistle's last performance was at the Royal Albert Hall at the start of the year.

Now, my list:

I've seen the Who God knows how many times, in 1989, '96, 2000, 2004.

Apart from then, well now:

The Quireboys
Desmond Dekker
The Wonderstuff
Carter USM
Bob Dylan
Eric Clapton
Alanis Morrisette
Jools Holland
Kasabian (who were bloody awful)
The Black Velvets
Oasis
REM
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
The Doves
The Strolling Bones
Travis
oh, loads more I can't remember.

In no particular order...

Megadeth
Coal Chamber
Overkill
REO Speadwagon
Loverboy (Ugh)

A couple others. Not a big fan of live music. I can't stand whn bands change things up and the songs do not sound they same...they always end up sounding worse.

Mark's band is Disintigration...like in what happens to the crowd when they step on stage.

I do NOT like crowds, and get rather antsy in the middle of them, so concerts aren't my thang . . .  eek

the top repeats:
Stevie Nicks solo/with Fleetwood Mac/benefit shows -- 84 times
Jimmy Buffett -- 15 times
John Mellencamp -- 8 times
Neil Diamond -- 8 times

Outside of these numbers above, I've seen over 70 major arena shows, 55 amphitheater shows, 11 festival tours, 25 show-house theater style concerts, 30 some odd concert theater shows, and over 200 club acts.

The next shows to be seen:

Berlin
Stevie Nicks
Neil Diamond
Jimmy Buffett

Not a very exciting list, here. I'm not a huge fan of "live music". I'd rather buy the album, and listen to it....

Christopher Cross...............1981
Olivia Newton-John............1982
38 Special/Eddie Money.....1983
John Fogarty....................1986
Paul McCartney................1990-something
Manilow...........................2002

And a Christian group I saw Saturday, "4 Him".

Sadly, that is all....
