Actually the painting's correct title is "Arrangement in Grey and Black: Portrait of the Painter's Mother" by James Abbott McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) and was painted in 1871. In case anyone is interested it is oil on canvas and measures 144.3 x 162.5 cm (56 3/4 x 64 in.)

Okay, so what famous school lists J.A.M. Whistler as a dropout?
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.
