I know we are months into the MLB season and I must have been living under a rock of late, but, why did Chip Carey go to the Atlanta Braves to call baseball part time? I knew he left Chicago calling Cubs' games, but I have yet to hear why he left there. He was calling all the games in Chicago regardless of what network they were on and regardless of if the game was home or away. Now, he is calling only part of Braves' games. Did he get canned in Chicago or did he want to go to Atlanta where his dad, Skip Carey, has called games for Atlanta (and doing a good job) for years. I was always under the impression he loved working in Chicago working the same position his grandfather did for decades. Any one with information, welcome.
BTW, I really don't like the two guys that are calling games for The Cubs this year, and I am a life long Cubbies fan. I really liked Steve Stone and Chip Carey. They seemed to be happy together in the booth and they were a pretty darn good team, although admittedly they were "homers."
