The Official Homestar Runner Thread

Sat Jul 09, 2005 12:13 am

I'm sure there are plenty of people who want to express their love of our well-known flash-animated friends.

Apparently Strong Bad's the most popular - he's awesome but who could be cooler than Homestar himself?

Yes! I think a lot of Homestar Runner's humour is pure genius. I don't pay as close attention to it as I used to about a year ago, but a good Strong Bad e-mail every once in a while is welcome.

I just had a look at the website - it's very funny. Is it a TV show or something ?

The best line ever:

"Owww...my most of me!"

Teen girl squad rules!

And Trogdor of course...

Yep Teen Girl Squad and Trogdor - genius. Not so sure about the puppets though...

SB email classics:

Dullard

Caper

Totally hilarious!

edit: JGPH1A, it's just a bunch who made some kids book and then created the flash cartoons. Apparently it's huge in the US... I think the Simpsons once made an obscure reference to it in one of their cartoons!

I have lost track of homestarrunner.com. I didn't know anyone else knew about it or even if it was still around. Last week, I saw a car with two bumperstickers: Homestar and Strongbad! Great to see it is still around Big grin

Another great thing that was created in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm surprised the folks over @ Williams Street (the minds behind much of the original stuff on Adult Swim) haven't tried to get the Homestar guys to do some stuff.

Strong Bad rules of course, but I'm more of a The Cheat fan myself. I also love how they lovingly recreate some of the old school video game stuff with their games.

Strongbad was introduced to me by my ex-girlfriend... It was great when we would watch it together...  Sad Now, I just don't see the humor in it anymore
