Skateboarder Jumps The Great Wall Of China

Mon Jul 11, 2005 12:32 am

Danny Way jumped the Great Wall of China with his skateboard, using special ramps, 4 times this week. 61 foot jump.

The commercials for this were hilarious, one of which had a purported Chinese announcer telling the audience that they party expects that massive crowds will be on hand to deliver the mandatory applause dictated by the government.

The video on Sportscenter was pretty good.

Anyone here think they could have done it?

Easily. I jumped the mississippi last year.

Yeah, but laying out an atlas at your house doesn't count.

That's a fair achievement, would like to see how they built the ramps each side of the wall, there are huge drops either side of it at that gate!

A full motion 172 simulator??

Wouldn't want to waste the valuable actual 172 just doing some training, huh!?
