Ready For Some Football? Camps Open This Week

Sun Jul 17, 2005 10:50 am

The World Champs open camp first, and although up here, the thermometer is hovering around 90 every day, football season is right around the corner.  bigthumbsup

Anyone going to visit a training camp this year? Anyone have season tickets? I looked to buy tickets to a Browns game in October, but they're so damned expensive, I just can't take my oldest son and my daughter to a game for less the $170 total-just for the tickets. The Browns will be better this year (hell, the CAN'T be worse), but it's not worth that kind of cash. I'll watch on TV.

Not to soon to start musing about your favorite teams of the REAL football.  Smile

I thought about buying Falcons tickets for clients (yeah sure...me and whoever) but they are sky high.

I will be visiting the camp out in Flowery Branch. We have pretty new facilities and I think that this year is our first year where we aren't using Wofford up in SC.

Falcon...do the Browns come to ATL this year? If so plan on coming down and the games on me. Same for GP and the Steelers.
Is my Pan Am ticket to the moon still good?

Sorry, Ian, you guys don't get an automatic win against the Browns this year.  Big grin

Thanks for the offer, though, man. Appreciate it.

Browns will be improved, but they're still a year away from being just a .500 team, I think. But despite the assclown Winslow almost killing himself on that crotchrocket, the Browns have definitely upgraded the talent level to where they will be a respectable team. Biggest hole for them is the D-line, where Denver bought the whole starting 4 from last year. They can have 'em....

Ha Ha Ha - believe that when I see it . . . . biggrin

Hopefully the Pack can get through this last year with Favre and not get beaten too badly.

J-E-T-S, JETS JETS JETS!!!!

Hopefully they can actually do something this year.

What I'm really looking forward to, though, is attending the 141st Lehigh-Lafayette game! Go Hawks!

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!

I'm pretty psyched for camp to begin, Im suffering through a case of football withdrawal like none other...and despite the whole T.O. mess, I remain ultra optimistic that the Eagles will return to the Super Bowl and win it all!

Fhr the past three years, Bills camp has been held three miles from my house. Maybe I'll check it out this time.

Those are footballs? Damn, I must need an anatomy lesson.  Big grin

I'd run with those footballs any time. ROTFL.

No wonder soccer players stand around so much-they're staring in the stands as the girls show off their......enthusiasm.

What the hell are all those soccer pictures doing in our football thread?  Wink

Seriously, though, we don't really care what you call soccer outside the US, so I think it is time you deal with it.

Pfff...seeing as how football has been around longer than American Football, it should be you that has to deal with it  Wink
