People Going To Opposite Gender's Facilities

Sun Jul 31, 2005 8:42 am

Tonight I went to the movies in Northern Elbonia.

As it appears, a woman in her mid 20s went into the Men's washroom then proceeded to use the crapper. I noticed the occurrence and cracked up laughing, however other people didn't find it funny.

How often do fools mistake where they should be and where they shouldn't? Also it is quite ironic that if a man were to do such a stunt he would prolly come out with a black eye.

LOL, I did this accidentally. When I was in High School, we didn't have any urinals in our bathrooms. So I was used to not seeing them. One night, my mother and I were going to the symphony and we were eating dinner at a local Italian restaurant called Bellini's. Anyway, I went into the bathroom and went into a stall to take a leak. Of course, at school, none of the guys ever closed the door to the stalls when they were just peeing. So here I am, standing at the toilet in a suit with my pants unbuttoned, door to the stall open, and then I hear someone come in and in a very feminine voice said, "Umm, this is the ladies room." LOL. So, I had to stop mid-pee and zip up and walk out the door. My mom couldn't stop laughing.

Also, if you go to gay bars, a lot of the times the guys will go to the bathroom in the girls, with girls in there. Just the culture I guess.

That's wrong on so many levels.

Back in the late 80s I was out in Berlin with some Spanish friends. We ended up in the Mehringhof in Berlin Kreuzberg, which is a former factory building and was back then housing lots of " alternative" projects (leftwing to anarchist). My friends really wanted to see the Punk rock scene, which was very active in Berlin back then. Well we got more than a little p*ssed in the pub attached to this place and after some time had to go to get rid of some of the beer (after it had passed our intestines). The friends, who didn't speak German and I went looking for the toilets. Unfortunately we didn't see the men's room, because the door was hidden behind a stack of empty beer crates and barged right into the only place we saw, also we missed the little "women only" sign among all the grafitti on the door. The women in there were stunned when suddenly four blokes, all speaking Spanish barged in and used the facilities (back then we thought that this place was mixed, we even peed standing up, which is almost a capital offense in these places! Big grin).
Later I realised that we narrowly escaped summary castration, since the place was heavily frequented by violent feminists...  relieved

A toilet's a toilet. What's wrong with a woman seeing your back as to stand the opposite direction to piss? And as long as a shitting booth is totally enclosed, who cares if there's a man OR a woman inside?

Maybe it's my medical mindset, but a body is a body is a body. It's not like we haven't seen them before.

Another thing:

Back in 1985 I went to Spain as a young shy 18 year old, just with a rucksack and a train ticket. In Barcelona I staid at the youth hostel opposite the zoo. I didn't minfd that they had common rooms for men and women to sleep in , big dorms with bunk type beds (in German youth hostels genders are strictly seperated), but next morning I went to take a shower. The shower room was empty, so I just picked a stall in a corner, pulled the curtain and started washing myself. Suddenly I noticed female voices. I peeked trough the curtain and sawtwo girl undressing. I went OOPS! and thought that I mistakenly used the girl's shower room. I expected the Roman-Catholic Spanish to be stricter than us Germans, and I didn't want to get kicked out of the hostel for an alleged sex offense. So I staid quite and continued in my cubicle until the girls were gone again, upon which I sneaked out of the room. Then I noticed that in fact it was a mixed (both gender) shower room and there wouldn't have been any problems. It was not that I was ashamed, I know I don't look like Adonis, but I'm not embarrased by nudity, I just thought that I accidentaly had committed an offense for which I might get kicked out of the place.

Yeah, but provided that they were hot, it wouldnt be so bad. You know gay guys get all the hot chicks, too bad for us straight fellows tho.

when i lived in nyc, i would go all the time in the womens if i were either out at bars, or restaurants that were more for the younger crowds. the womens bathrooms are cleaner, smell better, and the women dont care--unless there is a line then i use my own.

women do the same.

I have been in several bars/nightclubs in the UK where they only have mixed toilets . In France, at a campsite the urinals were all down an outside wall next to the main footpath-no privacy there!
To be honest it doesn't bother me either way. I also think its fairer to the women to only have mixed facilities when you see the queues for the ladies versus the gents.

Problem is with the way public places are built. They give the same amount of floor space to men's and women's restrooms. Let's say the men's room has three toilets and three urinals. The women's room will only have three toilets and maybe a table. Until your local building code requires an equal total number of fixtures for men and women, your city discriminates against women.

incidentally, nyc passed a new building code in june that states all new public spaces must include twice as many facilities for women as are planned for men.

i do believe with a finite amount of floor space, this may screw the men over.

I do it all the time. Just used the ladies' this morning at work, in fact.

In my defence, the company where I'm working right now, has only a ladies' loo on this floor. The gents is upstairs. And I couldn't be bothered drag my arse across the floor, up a flight of stairs and back across the floor... So, I - and a lot of other guys - just use the one on our floor.

As a passenger train conductor and trainman, I've spent plenty of time in the ladie's lavatories onboard. On most rail cars, the lounges and lavatories for the different sexes are at opposing ends of the car. Since our cars did not have waste tanks, we were required to lock the lavatory doors while standing in stations or passing certain points on the railroad. To secure the ladie's lavatories we would knock on the door to the lounge, announce ourselves and block the lounge door open. Entering the lounge we would again announce ourselves and knock on the two lavatory doors. If no response was recieved we would open each to check the condition of the lavatory, then lock them using a coach key to prevent their use.

I've been known to use whatever facility has the smallest line. Especially if its a gas station and I've got a #2 emergency. Women don't piss all over the place like men do.
