Premiership Season 2005/06 Underway!

Sat Aug 13, 2005 10:16 pm

So finally it is that time of year again, 3 months after the finish of the last Premiership season and the first league title for Chelsea in donkeys years we return to day one. Everton and Manchester United kicked off at 12:45pm and as of 2:15pm Manchester United are winning 2-0 and look set to be the first point scorers of the new season. Other fixtures involving the top 4 clubs kick off tomorrow with Arsenal entertaining Newcastle United and Chelsea facing a trip to new boys Wigan.

The full list of fixtures for the weekend are here:

Everton - Manchester United
13-08-2005 : 12:45
Aston Villa - Bolton Wanderers
13-08-2005 : 15:00
Fulham - Birmingham City
13-08-2005 : 15:00
Manchester City - West Bromwich Albion
13-08-2005 : 15:00

Arsenal - Newcastle United
14-08-2005 : 13:30
Wigan Athletic - Chelsea

Tips on the weekends matches? Do you think Chelsea will get off to a winning start? More bad times for Newcastle? Will this shape up to be one of the best Premiership seasons ever with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United all boasting strong squads? I guess we'll find out. What are your thoughts? Lets keep it civil ladies, nobody likes a fanboy!

Quoting GVBIG (Reply 1):

Arsenal - Newcastle United 3-0

2-1 Gunners, with the Magpies' lone goal by Dyer.

The only thing that would make me happier than the Magpies finishing high enough this season for a Champions League berth would be if the Mackems get relegated!

And the voice of the yanks is heard again. BTW How many teams past ManU do you really know, and what in gods name are you doing cheering on them?

Does it really matter? You will be destroyed at Highbury whether you like it or not  Silly

Ok to start with I am not a Yank, i am actually english. Dont assume just because I live in the USA I am an American, but I will soon be and I will be Damn proud of it. On top of that you would be surprised at how much football is followed in this country, especially the premier league.

And according to your profile, you are from Poland, last I checked Highbury was in England.

Good day, and once again COME ON UNITED.......
