Screwed Up Golf Related B-day Riddle

Mon Aug 15, 2005 12:11 pm

Ok, so a friend of mine is getting a birthday gift. However, it's in riddle form and she only gets it if she guesses it and her and I are both flippin' clueless. Here's the clues:

Every golfer wants one
Only 2 million made
Can be used to buy things in the UK
Newly retired golfer has a collection of these (Jack Nicklaus?)

Anyone have any idea cuz I'm stumped?

http://www.nicklausnote.com/

Sometimes it scares me how useful Google can be.

Would this be it?

£79 for a single £5 note? Are they out of their minds? Wouldn't it be £74 cheaper to get one at the bank?

I spent like 20 mins on google and found persian rugs and wooden-handled golf clubs. What you found is a better guess. I think that's it!!

My cousin has a signed note. I sure he would part with it for the right sum.

persian rugs

LOL, I also ran into that briefly. Basically, all I did was type this into Google:

jack nicklaus collection uk 2,000,000 OR jack nicklaus collection uk "two million"

Nothing spectacular, really. That's why I mentioned Google can be so useful.

Have fun with those brand new notes, I nearly bought one myself.  Smile
