Jesus, it isn't going to be like Rockford, IL, is it?

For all it´s worth I just want to say don´t go there. I live in Oregon and have to admit that the vast ajority of the starte is pretty sad and boring not to mention the fact that it seems everyone is either a redneck or a hippie.
I wouldn´t call it a classic college town, classic college towns tend to be fun to hang out in or at least they don´t bore you to death. So far my experiences with Corvallis have led me to believe that it´s pretty much the end of the earth.

There's pretty good bars. If he's gonna be here on a Friday or Saturday...the bars in Corvallis are awesome. The college girls go there, and they get wild.
Let's see. Do you like parks? PLENTY in Albany/Corvallis.
Do you like hiking?? PLENTY to do in the area around Corvallis alone. What a bigger challenge. Silver Falls is an hour away tops.
Food? Plenty of decent food around the area. No...it's not NYC or San Francisco, with endless choices of great places to go. But there are a few good ones.
College Football. There are two nationally competative programs 45 minutes from eachother. If he was here a month later...He could see one of the most heated rivalry games in the nation. It's also one of the oldest. It's been going on since 1892.

It's time to rebuild. and when it is rebuilt it will still be bigger than Reaser (spelling) and about the same size as Autzen.
