Looking For A Bike In London

Tue Sep 06, 2005 1:29 pm

I'm returning to London in less than 2 weeks for my 2nd year at King's College London (after summer vacation at home in the USA).

I need to find a good, inexpensive bicycle in London so I can get around (eg. getting back and forth from Russell Square to the campus at London Bridge, etc.), so I don't always have to rely on the Tube (besides, the bombings on July 7 have my mother worried for my safety).

Where can I find a good, inexpensive bicycle in London? Please let me know of a good place where I can buy one.

I'm looking forward to my return to London on 19 Sept, and many more weekends of spotting at LHR!

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made... (Psalm 139:14)

Get hold of a copy of one of the classified ad papers like "Loot" or "Exchange and Mart".... or.... a quick search on UK eBay (refined to a 10 mile radius of a Central London post code) brought up 139 hits, so that is another option.
