'The Aristocrats'

Tue Sep 06, 2005 6:22 pm

Has anyone seen this movie?
It had premiere last night here in Denmark. And obviolsy it was so disgusting that some guests threw up and around 200 left in a protest over the movie and wanted the money back from the cinema.

Is it really that bad? I never head about the movie before until today.

BTW, if its about the joke that came out online as a South Park sketch with Cartman telling it then the movie must be hilarious. But I can see why many people would get upset and find it disgusting.

You can do a Google search for the answer. 'The Aristrocrats' is a joke told among comedy preformers for many years, with variations. Basicaly the father and lead preformer of a live 'vaudeville' act that includes his family members and their dog is expaining the act to a booking agent for the theathers. The act that is comprised of all of the family members and the dog involved in perverse sexual acts, including incest acts, scatalogical (human waste), sexual acts involving the dog and other obscene references. The punch line of the joke is the name of the performers which is called the Aristrocrats. This movie has a number of male and female comedy preformers who recite their version of the joke/story. Is isn't for the faint of heart, and I would never see this movie as would be too much for me.

This movie is an exercise in freedom of speech produced by Penn Gillette and Paul Provenza along with a hundred or so comedians of varying degrees of fame, from Tim Conway to Drew Carey to guys you never heard of.

So you decided to spoil the movie for everyone else in order to eliminate the need for them to see the thing? You are obviously able to judge it without seeing it.....

Next time you decide to spoil the movie for people a little notice would be good.

here's how

don't read beyond here unless you don't mind the spoilers.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious! Very rude, crude, and vulgar, yes, but still funny. If you are easily offended or really offended by much at all, then you probably should not go to see this movie. Otherwise, enjoy!

Seen it, and laughed quite a bit. If you want an idea about what this movie is about click the link below, which is the South Park guys' contribution to the movie (WARNING NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR IF YOU'RE AROUND EASILY OFFENDED PEOPLE OR IF YOU'RE EASILY OFFENDED!):

Cartman The Aristocrat requires QuickTime

I had watched this clip probably two dozen times before I even went to see the movie, it it was still funny to me.

Let's just say that there are some clever ways the joke is told, and some of the ways it is told are ways you wouldn't expect it.

It's been a while since I've seen it. I love the three kittens the best: Marie, Toulouse, and Berlioz.
