How much is it going to cost and how long will it take to fix? I remember the bridge took ages to me made and fitted and I was lucky that I had private medical insurance at the time to pay for it.
How much is it going to cost me? where do I find a dentist?
I cant go out till its fixed!
Orion, chill. You can get emrgency dental treatment, just call your local primary care trust and ask them, alternatively give NHSDirect a ring and they should be able to put u in contact with an NHS Dentist and also what emercency services there are (but the emergency clinics will only treat infection and pain, though they will do something to stop things getting infected too). An NHS dentist can only charge up too £350 for any course of treatment. If you are on a low income then you can apply for a HC1. I've got one of these and it reduced the £350 to something like £20. Your local PCT should have a list of all dentists in your area that are taking new NHS patients. NHS Direct may also have this information. If you go to a private dentist then there is no cap on what they charge and is likely to cost about £800 for a replacement bridge, that does not include any prepatory work. When you get the list of NHS dentists ask them how long their waiting lists are too see the dentist. I was lucky with mine, he was able to offer me weekly appointments, some may offer monthly so you could be without it for a while. If you get the right dentist and you need a replacement bridge you would probably be looking at about 3-4 weeks for your new bridge to be fitted.
Equally Cursed and Blessed.
