ANet Meet At Duxford Autumn Air Show 16/10/05?

Wed Sep 21, 2005 10:07 pm

A few months back I remember reading a thread about a possible ANet meet at Duxford Autumn Air Show on Sunday 16 October 2005. I have searched under various options but without success. Could I please therefore ask if there are any plans for a meet and does anyone know if the Autumn Show includes civil aviation?

Many thanks.

Do you mean this one?

It did kind of die a death didn't it? I thought it was something I'd said!

Personally I'd love to go, but unfortunately in the time since that thread was started I've made plans to be in Ireland that weekend  Sad

Good luck though!

Cheers.

Andy.

According to the provisional participants list the answer is NO: http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/upload/pdf/Participation.pdf
available from: http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/server/show/nav.00d004

In the other thread I metioned, that I were considering either Duxford or MCAS Miramar for that weekend.
Finally I chose to go to the Airshow at MCAS Miramar Big grin
See www.miramarairshow.com and still hoping that they will add a F-14 to the list of participants ...

Thanks BAViscount. That was the thread I was looking for, but never tried searching in the Civil Aviation Forum.

Thanks HT for the link. The show seems to be military. We could probably fit all the a.net members expected to attend in a phone box with room for the buffet!

Very true! Personally I really wanted to go to Duxford to see the static displays - makes me feel so much better about making my trip to Ireland knowing that I'm only missing military displays - really couldn't give a flying **** about those!
