Ten years ago my wife and I rented a villa on a hilltop on St. John, in the Caribbean. Blissful.

Well it started with a 2 free business class ticket MLA-FRA-SFO-MCO-FRA-MLA.
First time ever in business class and it was amazing.

Spent 5 days in SFO amazing city, great people,
drove down the coast staying at santa cruz, santa barbara and finally 6 days in LA, did the usual, sta monica, the strip, universal studios, jay leno show. then flew on UA to MCO spent 12 days going round all the parks and got to see the space shuttle launch, had an amazing time, loved the states.

Plannng our 10yr anniversary and going back to SFO hopefully, but will combine with Hawaii i hope.

My honeymoon was at the end of July. Nancy and I went ROC-DUB (ERJ-145, 764), met up with UTA_Flyinghigh, enjoyed the piss out of Dublin, then rented a car and drove around the coast of Ireland to Galway, returning from Shannon (752, ERJ-145). It was quite lovely.

The truth hurts.

8 years; two trips to the alter, and no 'official' Honeymoon.. Yes, I know I'm a jackass. Believe it or not it's understood because we are always spending money on the kids and what not. We live reasonably well (for the most part) thoughout the whole year as opposed to struggling, then having a week or two of decadance. That' just the way it worked out, but we are hoping to change it this comming year.

A 2 week trip to France stopping at various chambre d'hotes in wine regions we like

Sancerre - Agen (Armagnac/Madiran) - Tain Hermitage - Beaujolais.

The car came home about 180 bottles heavier than it left home.

I would probably want to go to either St Maarten or Fiji, not sure which one. As long as it has a big double bed, a peaceful white sandy beach and glorious sunshine, it'll do for me.

We went to SFO and stayed at the Mandarin Oriental and then drove up to Napa where we stayed at The Blue Violet B&B. Visited many wineries, ate lunch at the Domain Chandon restaurant, took an evening dinner trip on the wine train, hot air balloned over the vineyards. Oh yes, for the diehard a.nutters, we flew UA TPA-DEN 757 then DEN-SFO (I think another 757).
The return was SFO-ORD UA DC-10, then ORD-TPA via UA 727.

6 years ago we honeymooned (2nd marriage for each of us) at the Radisson Cable Beach in The Bahamas. Love it..have been back 4 times since.

For our 1 year anniversary we spent a long weekend at Caesar's Pocono Resort (can't remember which one) in the Poconos.

Wishing that the Concorde was still in service, I'd do the around the world charter on the bird and hit North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America.

Seeing that the Concorde isn't in service anymore, I'd do an around the world trip going to London, Paris, Florence, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Dubai, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bombay, Delhi, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and finally home. All in first class. Now, if my partner doesn't like airliners, then he will just have to suffer.

A week in Key West. We were supposed to fly into EYR on a DC-3 and then leave on a Chalk's seaplane but the darned DC-3 airline went bankrupt and then we had to cancel the Chalk's as well because they didn't have seats both ways and getting back to FLL on a one-way was ridiculous on short notice.

It's a shame, I was looking forward to being in a seaplane for the first time and flying in a DC-3 with seats would have been a first as well.

We were fresh out of university (< 1 month after finals ended, 1 week before convocation) and about to move from Toronto to Seattle so we had no money. We went up to a golf resort just north of Toronto for like four nights or something. Neither of us play golf!  Smile It was pretty lame, but that's all we could afford.

We don't really do much for our anniversaries - generally just cards and go out for dinner. This year was our 10th and we went to Australia earlier this year and told anyone who asked that it was for our anniversary.

We planned on Fiji, but changed plans at the last minute and went to Tasmania instead. Excellent! Made up for missing Fiji by going back there the following year - and for many years after. Great place. If I had to choose a honeymoon spot today it would be 1) Bora Bora; 2) Candian Rockies; 3) Venice.
Cheers

A cold January weekend in Oxford. We were skint and we trying to scrape together a deposit for a house. We'd met on a kibbutz 15 months earlier and had only been back in the UK for a couple months. We decided it was more important to have a roof over our head than have a flash wedding and honeymoon. That was 21 years ago and our marriage is still going strong.

We always try and do something on the anniversary - the last few years we've been in France skiing. No plans yet for the coming one. I guess we'll have to do something special when we get to 25 years.

A week in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Was at the beginning of September so not too busy but still hot.

We flew OS LHR-(A321)-VIE-(DHC8-Q400)-DBV. Shame was we landed 5 mins late in VIE and our baggage didn't make the 30 min connection so we spent the 1st 24 hours of our honeymoon with the clothes we had on and toothbrushes!
