400K, in developing countries like mine it is pretty expensive to get higher bandwidth rates at home.

1000 Kbps, T-Online is also offering DSL2000 or DSL6000 but for me is 1000 definitely enough, I can surf the net and download songs.

2.752 Mbps down, .643 Mbps up Verizon DSL 24.95/month. Unlike cable the bandwidth is dedicated back to the switch.

Try this bandwidth test site in the US. It has many regional servers so you get a much more accurate reading than CNET. We use it with clients.

2mps at home. Don't know how fast it is here at Uni but I've had d/l speeds in excess of 600kb/s so I assume it's pretty fast. The Bandwidth tests don't work in the halls so I can't accurately clock it

Here we go: Your line speed:

13161.3 Kbps

1612.9 K bytes/sec

Guess I win then lol. d/l speed is purely dependent on how many people are using the connection but at 4am there aren't many people downloading files so I guess it doesn't get much faster than that Big grin.

Used ZDnet.co.uk for the speed test.

when you say Kbps do you mean in Kilo Bits per second OR Kilobytes per second

My connection is ADSL 1500Kbps (Kilo Bits) downstream / 256Kbps (Kilo Bits) upstream.

My connection costs about $32USD per month the provider is TPG internet

HAJFlyer: the maximum ADSL speed in Switzerland is 2.4 Mbit/s. I think you're reading your LAN connection speed from the modem to your computer  Smile

I'm connected at 4.6 Mbit/s (up- and downstream). But it's not fair, I work for an ISP Big grin

I've got 6 mbps down, 768kbps up via ADSL from Speakeasy (via Covad via SBC). The best part about the service is that you actually do get about 5.8mbps down and 700kbps up in real life situations, and there are no ports blocked or any other ridiculous policies about what you can and cannot do with the line. Also comes with eight public IP addresses, so no NAT for me!
