Airbus Develops 100% Efficient Aircraft (photo)

Sun Oct 09, 2005 11:02 pm

Just announced! This aircraft has better efficiency than an aircraft ever built. All other aircraft manufacturers are at a loss as to how to compete with this aircraft.

It still has drag, therefore it's not 100% efficient  Silly

In the trailing edge of the variable geometry flap/spoiler/aileron/elevator/air brake assembly?

It could be, since you only need fuel for taxi ops. Any wing-bending on this baby?

While such a design would be completely impossible to build, I guess that birs really have an extremely efficient way of creating thrust... Would a moving wing design be more efficient than the existing engine-fixed wing design we are using if it could be built?

Maybe just a little bending.

My only concern is about the "exhaust".....

Yeah, Airbus is in the lead. They have teamed up with nature.

No way Boeing can catch up this time.

Good one, Boeing nut.

But it's not Airbus' idea. Some Italian guy designed a similar aeroplane years ago  Smile

good one!

Be worried if it dumps fuel on you though, it might just end up on your head!  Wink

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing, though I would be quite nervous to look out the window and see some really really big wings that are going to take me to an 14 hours flight. What if the wings get tired??

Does the aircraft poops???? :P lol lol lol

We have a house near a lake. Every time I see a duck coming in for a landing on the water, it reminds me of a 747 touching down.

Must be pretty annoying to approach the coast on a transoceanic flight and then have the "plane" decide to search for fish instead of flying you across the ocean!!  rotfl

Good one! And nicely done on the digital alteration!

It looks like a good new and efficient design, but what if it catches bird flu during take off?

This is not the first time Airbus engineers have come up with such a concept.....

Is this wing still made in the UK or did they build a new factory for this innovative concept?
Read this very carefully, I shall write this only once!
