The MAD-LPA Meeting Aftermath.

Tue Oct 11, 2005 6:31 pm

Well . It was great meeting everyone again and all those I hadnt met before and hope you all got back safe.  Smile
The MAD-LPA-MAD A340 flight was the highlight for me and Simon.
Thanks to Alfonso for being a great host. I certainly enjoyed the evening trip around the city on Friday. On a down note, the NH Barajas wasn't up to the usual NH standards we have encountered at previous meetings, unlike Schipol and Frankfurt and the lack of a shuttle bus made it costly. I think all of us who took the taxi's will feel the same on this one. The taxi drivers seemed a bit reluctant at times just to go from the terminal building to the hotel at times and vice versa.

But apart from that, let the pictures roll.

Hello there Sue,

I agree with you fully. Everything was great this weekend aside from the Taxi deal to and from the NH Barajas. But we got through it at least. (At a great cost!)

It was a pleasure meeting you once more and great to meet Simon, who is a great chap! Same applies for all of the new faces and all of the old faces, I always miss you all whenever I return home from one of these meets.

I'm gonna start work on a webpage as soon as I can to share all of my images from this successful Madrid gathering.

Many thanks to everyone,
Justin  Smile

PS: If anyone wants to chat to me online, add me to your MSN list it would be great to maintain contact with all of the new faces I met. Jkw6210@hotmail.com. Big grin

Glad to see you got home OK Sue. It was nice to meet both you and Simon as it was, indeed, to meet everyone else.

As I sit in my office looking at the cold, pouring rain outside I can't help wishing I was still in Madrid! Still, I have the pictures and no doubt very soon there will be many more posted!

Thanks to everyone involved. It was superb

Just checked out Alex's pics. It all started so civilised Alex, but then I should have remembered what you are like and been prepared for what happened from about halfway down the photo gallery! Big grin Sights like that can kill a man of Skidmarks age!  Wink

So Alex, just a wild guess here, but you quite liked the women on the sand dunes??? I'm sure kleenex will love the sharp upturn in sales at your local store over the next few weeks.  Wink

Hey,

Was a fantastic weekend, great to see some old faces as well as some new ones! A real variety of things to do on this meet and enjoyed every one of them biggrin !

Big, big thankyou to Alfonso, especially for your tour of the MAD terminals right at the end. After walking miles to T3 I left my bag in security and so got to Gate B and had to run back. Anyhow, EZY were delayed slightly and I went to the A Gate as you recommended. Beautiful! I have never been in an airport terminal on my own either, quite freaky!

Pics to come soon, my msn is spike13889@aol.com for those who would like it,

Ah, cool pics from Alex  Wink Big grin

A very good weekend was had by all, and I enjoyed meeting new people too.

My only gripes were the Taxis, and the rubbish service we encountered on IB  Sad

See you all soon  Smile

Slightly off topic but: Where the hell is that perverted fooooolish rhaaat Alex (myt332) these days anyway?

He seems to have vanished off the face of the earth and doesn't seem to answer his e-mail any more either.

Maybe the law finally caught up with him?  Smile

Hi, thanks for all your pictures (Dan, Sam, Erwin,...), they all look fantastic!! Erwin, you may add the Aerolineas 747, which looked quiet impressive from the spotting hill.

Dan, just a suggestion: you can use www.imageshack.us. As a registered user you can use a direct link to your uploaded pictures. Great pictures on your site.

Erwin, good selection of all your pics.

Wow it sure has taken me a long time to reply to this thread!!

I had a great time during the meet, and I still can't believe it's now a thing of the past after waiting for that weekend for such a loooong time.

I am really happy and glad that all of you had a great time here, and I would have liked to have the chance to say good bye and thank you to each and every one of the people that came to Madrid for this wonderful weekend.

Unfortunately, it was not possible and there were a few people that I didn't see before they went back to their countries. However, I am sure that I will meet all of you again sooner or later.

Come back whenever you want to!!. I'm really happy that I had the chance to show you people at least a small part of my country's capital. There are lots of things to do and see in Madrid and it's surrounding area. It's an amazing place, and it will be great if you decide to come back in the future.

Dan, Alex, Erwin and Justin...great pics!! You have done an excellent job by sharing those pics with us, which is the best way to recall all those great moments we had here!!.

Thanks again everyone for coming...you're the ones that made this meet possible!! I hope you felt at home!! Thank you also for your comments...Come back anytime!!

I for one Alfonso will be coming back to Madrid at one point. It truly is a wonderful city and I'm sure there is much more to see than what we saw on the monday morning. You should be proud of the way you organised everything. I know it is hard to please everyone but I think most people got what they wanted out of the weekend.

Was great to see people I consider friends again and to meet some new faces.

Not long now till AMS!!!!!!!!!
