Uh, the Fonz was not a 40 year od hanging around with kids on "Happy Days". He was a little older than Richie, Potsie and Ralph, but only few years older.

He was cool. Any guy who could snap his fingers and get a bevy of chicks is cool; anyone who can pund his fist on the jukebox and get the song he wants, or on the wall and make the lights go on and off is cool.  Big grin

The Fonz was cool, for about a season and a half (if that).

Once he became everyone's best bud, he was just as lame as the rest of them.

Chuck was the cool one...he left after a few episodes!

Funny thing this thread should come up. I have been stopped in the streets many many times by people telling me I look like the Fonz. I have even been asked for my autograph a few times by people thinking I am the Fonz. It's amazing how often I am told this. I have made many flights between YVR and LAX in F and that certainly made people think I was the Fonz travelling between shoots. It's funny that people think some celebrities don't get old.

My true celebrity status shall remain anonymous on this site. But I feel I should claim that the Fonz is definitely COOL!

That was the part I never understood - how did Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham "misplace" their eldest son? He up and disappeared one day and they were just fine with that? No explanation?  Wink

There was that unfortunate "misunderstanding" between Chuck and little sister Joanie. (Such things were not openly discussed in the 50's) Chuck went to live with some cousins in the Deep South where he'd fit in better so that Joanie's honor would be preserved.

Don't you remember that episode?  Wink

Yeah, except in the 50's it would have been Joanie who left the house in the dead of night for parts unknown...

Henry Winkler will be 60 years old on October 30th. If you are being mistaken for him, you might want to look into a little Botox.  Smile
