Halloween Costumes

Fri Oct 28, 2005 2:21 pm

All right, what are you all going as?

I thought about going as a drunk Southwest passenger.

-but-

Instead, I am going to go as an Ovaltine commercial. Use your imagination.

We gave our girls a choice this year. They could choose from:

1) a pile of debris
2) a duct-taped refrigerator
3) the last one to arrive, the slowest trick-or-treater, dressed up as FEMA

Ha Ha Ha . . . had a Halloween Costume thing on the tonight show a few days ago . . . first kid that came out had what looked like a "desk" hanging in front of him, with the sound of a ringing phone in the background. When Leno asked him what the noise was the kid said "an unanswered phone". Leno asked the kid who/what his costume was . . . kid said, I'm FEMA Director Brown . . . I thought Leno was gonna pass out . . .  rotfl

Although the only thing people in Aberdeen do for Halloween is commit acts of vandalism and get drunk.

So I'm not sure if it's safer in the US or the UK.

Last night for a party I went as a Michigan Militia member. This consisted of a buttoned-up flannel shirt, black beret, sunglasses, combat trousers, boots, and a fake gun.

I didn't dress up as anything last year, but 2 years ago I went to a Halloween party as a Catholic priest, and 3 years ago I dressed as Saddam Hussein.

As you can tell, I enjoy relatively controversial costumes.

Yes that is the beautiful 1991-1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon on the refrigerator. The one pictured is the 1992 model. The picture under it is the 1983 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country Convertible. We were going for a white with woodgrain side panel theme.

Yes I love Halloween in San Francisco. It's like our own Mardi Gras. It's the biggest or at least most fun event all year. It is really wild here. It's a huge party for the adults. The big party is in the Castro district. That is famously known as the gay district but of course it's open to everyone.

My roommate’s friend picked those up at the Boeing facility up in Seattle a few years ago. Unfortunately it's of the current line up circa 2001 so no 707 or 727.  Sad
