My guess, Swedish.

That, my friends, is most likely dutch- it's neither norwegian, swedish or german, that's for sure

EDIT: now 99.9% certain it's dutch. Unless it indeed is Swiss german... but I can't find a single german word in there...

Someone has to put us out of our misery....and hopefully they can translate some of the content too

Maybe that's a more interesting game.

It's flemish comming from a show called "buiten de zone" or "out of the zone" in english.
Best comedy ever produced with such famous (local) actors as Frank Foketyn.
the rest of the sketches are even much better.

Nathalie on report.

Sorry if the respons took so long but I'm really drunk so i had to redo a lot.

Right. So it's not a real chat so is that correct? All actors?

That's disappointing....

It did sound a bit Dutch, but there were not enough rip-offs from English to make it Dutch  Wink Please enlighten this American, who has been to Amsterdam - is Flemish basically a dialect of Dutch spoken by certain Belgians? Or is a dialect of another language, such as German?

I know I could Google this, but having Bikergirl and Jap on the same thread is kinda fun. Signed,

Flemish is an accent from dutch to be more precise.
But in reality it is correct to say that we (the Flemish) speak better and more correct Dutch than the Dutch do.

So it's Dutch with an accent.
BTW there are a lot of sub-dialects in Flemish but in general we say that all people that live in Holland (or better the Netherlands) speak Dutch and all dutch speaking people in Belgium speak Flemish.

Trueth is that we understand eachother perfectly and officially it's only one language zone.
The only real other language is Fries which is actually something almost completely different.

Well Dirty Old Logan, Nathalie is sleeping off her drunken stupor, so I will answer this. Flemish is a dialect of Dutch spoken by the majority of Belgians and is pretty much identical to Netherlands Dutch except for the very, very cool accent

Bikergirl, I don't think that's from 'Buiten de zone', as I don't recognise any of the actors. Looks more like 'In de gloria' to me.

BTW, a recent study showed that a majority of the Dutch think that the Flemish accent is cooler and more beautiful than their own.

I can of course only agree with that  Wink

Jack Spijkerman left the VARA to join John de Mol's Talpa tv-station. There were  hissyfit  all round and Jack Spijkerman didn't do himself any favours. After a promising begin, Talpa's rating are not very impressive. It might seem that Jack Spijkerman has shot himself in the foot.

However, LFutia, you might try this link (in Dutch - I don't know how good your Dutch is)

yeah i know about Jack Spijkerman... read all about it on De Telegraaf....

but yeah, thanks to www.omroep.nl , I was able to watch all sorts of programs on there... I really enjoyed watching Kopspijkers on saturday nights so I only watch NOS Journaal and a few other programs.

Jiskefet ( or something like that) never really caught my attention. I enjoyed Cafe Wereld... the 3D animated cartoons with Jan Peter en Koningin Beatrix.

I'm surprised that no one in the audience started laughing. That type of laughing is really contagious.

You know, it actually looks like the entire audience has been forced to take some sort of barbituates. No one is doing anything. Why even have an audience if they're going imitate a brick wall?

At first I thought it might be the Swiss dialect of Navajo, but now I am quite sure that it is Bengali with a Norwegian accent. Any expert will confirm this.

I would just like to point out that this thread may be the most blatant example that I have ever seen of most responders not bothering to read the posts before theirs (not counting any thread in civil aviation when people are commenting and trying to beat each other to post news as an "incident" unfolds...)
