So, I am currently planning a bachelor party and have decided that a large group of us are going to San Diego for some golf and other fun. We plan to make an expedition across the border, and are just looking for some advice.

We need some advice. First is it safe? I have heard of muggings and curropt cops when you try to cross back into the US. Any thoughts on this??

Of course we are going down there to party? Any thoughts of were good strip clubs are? We are not really looking for the whore houses, but just plain strip clubs that might get a little crazy!

Also, if anyone has any advice on SD golf, let me know. We of course will hit Torrey Pines. What other high end courses are there?

Thanks for the help.

As long as you use the same precautions as you would in a any other major city, you'll be fine.

From my experience, border cities in mexico aren't too impressive (culturally). If you wan't the real mexican cultural experience, head farther south, way far down, at least to MZT. Ensenada is about an hour's worth of driving south at the beach, that would be another option.

If you just wan't to cross the border just for the hell of it, TIJ will suffice.

Have fun, but be responsible!!!  Wink

It's a bachelor party, we are not looking for a cultural experience. Just lots of drinking and chasing women (without catching anything).

Yup. Then TIJ would be okay. Act as if you were in any other US city, or as if my former Phys. Ed. teacher used to tell me, "Don't be stupid!" Now if your afraid somethin' will happen to ya, read the stuff written by the Department of State and Customs and Border Protection. I know they're serious on this stuff but a couple of things make me chuckle...

Have Fun!

Rosarita Street is the place to go. Have been to a few strip joints in TJ and for the most part they're good.

I've never had any trouble at the border crossing, just don't give 'em any lip and you'll be fine. Leave your car on the US side, walk through and get in a taxi. I saw a group of guys having a fight at the border post once - they would have been in jail for the night that night I'm sure. The cops will use any excuse for throwing you in the slammer so don't take any risks!
