I Love Sheep

Sat Nov 05, 2005 4:47 am

Any Pink Floyd fans here?
My favorite album is ‘Animals’.
‘Sheep’ really is a spacey yet rockin’ tune. It requires undivided attention when I listen to it.

Worth noting, the 8track version of 'Pigs On The Wing' has an electric guitar solo not found on the LP, CD or cassette.

One of my favorite PF albums is "Obscured by Clouds." Ironically, the album itself is pretty obscure.

But I have to put it #2 just behind Animals.

Dogs, pigs, and sheep. Great stuff, and totally overshadowed by "The Wall," which I have to rate as one of their worst.

Perhaps the thread starter should have been more careful in the pharsing of the title - it might get some a-netters excited.
I thing sometimes that the saying for a-net is: A-net, where men are men and sheep are nervous.
You never hear any tracks of early Pink Floyd, hell haven't since maybe 1975. They did some really wierd stuff then, best enjoyed with some 'mind adjusting' substances.

"Interstellar Overdrive"

"See Emily Play"

"Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" (cause Superfly's gonna drill a hole in it for us)

"Green is the Colour"

"Embryo"

"Careful With That Axe, Eugene"

Good stuff indeed.

Xpat speaks truth. It's an excellent album for sex.
Then "Relics", then "Meddle", then "Atom Heart Mother", then "Dark Side", then "The Wall", THEN Animals, then "Wish you were here" , then........your skull implodes.

Pink Floyd Rock man,

Has anyone tried Dark Side Of The Moon while watching The Wizard Of Oz. It is supposed to work in synch with the film.

Hi guys.

Quoting Superfly (Thread starter):

I love Pink Floyd. I really enjoyed seeing them in concert in Toronto a few times many years ago. I remember they rented a hangar out at Toronto Intl Airport (YYZ) to set up their huge stage and practice.

If you weren't already feeling HIGH before you listen to Pink Floyd songs, you quickly will be .... even without narcartic stimulation.

....... "Brain Damage" .... "Run Like Hell" ..... "Wish You Were Here" ..... "One of My Turns" ...... "Hey You" ....... "Have a Cigar" ...... "Comfortably Numb" ...... "Breathe" ...... "Dont Leave Me Now" ....... "Learning to Fly" ....."Young Lust" ...... "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" ...... "Us & Them" .........

"Goodbye, cruel world,
I'm leaving you today.
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.

Goodbye all you people,
Theres nothing you can say,
To make me change my mind.
Goodbye."

Excuse me while I go put on my stereo! Big grin

I saw Pink Floyd only once on the Division Bell Tour in 1994 at the Pasadena Rose Bowl (near Los Angeles).

When I first saw this thread I thought that Gkirk had posted it.  bigthumbsup

I love Pink Floyd. I can't decide whether they or Genesis are my favourite band, but I always have a PF CD playing in my car wherever I go, sharing with the masses the concept of "good music" which all too many have forgotten.

I've got every album of theirs, though I'm missing Delicate Sound of Thunder and The Wall Live, plus most of the compilations (which I don't need anyway since i have the albums, though I'd love to get my hands on Relics)
