Favorite Shots :-D

Fri Nov 11, 2005 8:20 pm

Hey guys and girls.

Now when the weekend is getting closer and most of us are probably goinbg out drinking, I was curiosu about shots.
Do you have any favorite shots and do you know any really nasty shots? Big grin

I have one that I really like. It's called Black Army Shot
It cointains

3 cl Galliano
3 cl Jagermeister

Pour gently, i'ts important to get 2 layers. Use a shot glass. You can use 2 cl of each, if 3 is too much for you.

And for the nasty one:
Its called a Æselspark in Danish. That is DonkeyKick in English.

It contains:
2 cl Rastapuz
2 cl Snaps
Tabasco and black pepper.
You mix the Rastapuz, Schnaps and Tabasco in 1 shotglass and top it with black pepper.

Joge and RJ100 already tried it. And they really loved it Big grin

Goldschlaeger is my favourite. On it's own it pretty much qualifies as "nasty" Big grin

Other yummy/nasty ones:
-Slippery Nipple: 1/2 Baileys 1/2 Midori
-Fisherman's Friend: 1/2 Mint liquor 1/2 Triple sec curacu
-After Eight: 1/3 Baileys 1/3 Coffee liquor 1/3 Mint liquor
-Banana delight: 1/3 Creme de Banane, 1/3 Galliano, 1/3 Batida de coco

 yummy

I don't drink much booze but a Jägermeister is quite nice from time to time (I think I will buy two or three small bottles for tonight).

Usually I drink only beer, really! It happens one or two times in three months that I am drinking booze or cocktails or similar stuff.

I'll take a beer over liquor anyday.

But I sometimes will go for the liquor. Some of my favorites:

Southern Comfort
Rum and Coke (preferably with Captain Morgan rum)
Deathmix (Gatorade and Everclear)
Smirnoff Black Label 90 proof (not that pussy Smirnoff Ice shit)

Thats about it..

What flavor of Gatorade? Any?

Anyone ever try a Prairie Fire? Wow, they're so good! You should really try one if you haven't already.

Aside from that, Jäger is good, but there's something strange in it that makes me go off the hook. I heard somewhere that there's deer blood in it. I don't know if that's true or not.

Goldschlager is good, but only on occasion.

Buy cough syrup - it's cheaper and tastes better, probably more alcohol too.

Down here, we call this a Green Goddam. It's green and generally the first swig will bring out the second part of the name.

True absinthe is not legal in many places anymore. The chemicals in the wormwood can cause various mental and physical problems.

Quoting TheCoz (Reply 23):

Fresh horseradish on the bottom, fill with tequila(pronounced to kill ya), 8-10 drops Tabasco on top. If you shoot it clean, it's OK, if you're a wuss, the horseradish will end up between your cheek and gum and you'll hate life.

Anybody else remember the upside down shots in the barber's chair craze in the early 80s?

Don't forget slammers and flaming shots.

This explains a lot of the posts on a.net.

Before shots were invented, I decided to try my first Manhattan, purely and simply because I was flying on PanAm for the first time, I was very young, and it sounded very American. Damn, if I didn't develop a taste for the stuff. I'm not really a shots person, but long drinks based around Scotch, bourbon or gin are good, and beer is always reliable!

Ya know, I'm a big fan of this new Vodka I discovered.

I like a shot of Polar Ice

I also like Cuervo
I also like 99 Berries
And Jager is pretty good.
And so is Jack Daniels, or Crown.

If I'm going to do a shot, it isn't going to be something girlie, it's going to be something big. I'm past doing the shots of 'Jager and 'Slager and the like. The last shots I did were of Bushmills back on St. Patrick's Day. I've been known to do shots of vodka as well. I've even done shots of 151. I used to do shots of stuff on a dare. I knew a bartender that would mix stuff up to see if I'd shoot it, and I would. Drinking like a fool in your early 20s is expected, by the time you hit 30, that stuff's got to stop.

Same here. The hard stuff now gets sipped (I have a nice bottle of Compass Box Aslya scotch I've been sipping on.) as opposed to knocking it back like a frat boy.....
