Saturday's Stupid Topic: Million Dollar Wheels

Unless you had money like Bill Gates, why on earth would anyone spend so much money on wheels! Yes, wheels. What if someone steals them? They cost more than the vehicle! Worse, you'll have to unbolt them and keep them locked up. Why would someone waste all that time and material to make something so hideously expensive? It could be put to better use. It's like making a diamond and gold coated gun and I have seen some. See the picture below. What a waste. If you shoot the gun, the muzzle blast might flake the gold coating off. Plus the action of the slide moving back and forth will scrape more of the gold off. Believe it or not, American Express once had a custom built Delorean coated in gold. Not a bright idea. What if someone used a knife to scrape the gold off? Every scratch winds up costing the owner $30. Just silly. I heard someone actually bought it. I believe the handgun was once owned by one of Saddam's bodyguards or someone very high in his chain of command.

Probably the same jerks who buy Vertu phones.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find my own way there...

How much does a Vertu phone cost? Do they offer anything that a regular cell phone doesn't?

Hahaha just go read the comments some people posted below that article, especially the person posting under the totally humble title of Not Poor... "I wouldn't be caught dead in anything less than a 5 star hotel"... classic stuff.

You have to pass that gun around the table so we can all admire it.

...and so hideously ugly! God those things look awful.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
