Winfixer 2005: Who Can I Kill For This?

Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:23 pm

I've recently started getting the same popups for "Winfixer 2005" about every 10-20 minutes. Anyone else get this? How do I get rid of it? The pop up blocker doesn't get rid of it since it appears as if it were a system message. Whoever is behind this must die--right after they help me get rid of it.

appears as if it were a system message.

Clean out all of your folders that contain temporary internet files, run a virus scan, then use an anti-spyware program to scan your system for spyware.

smells like adware or spyware trying to get in. Get a good spyware/adware remover, run it, and see if the problem still persists.
Things were better when it was two guys in a dorm room.

...but don't be surprised if all that doesn't help. That's Winfixer for you.

Is this the crap that pop-up when you go to Jetphotos.net??

I have pop-up/under blockers, Spybot, ZoneAlarm and AdAware and still get it. The owners of JetPhotos should be the ones killed, their site is the worst of any aviation site for pop-ups.
