redflag  did you expect different from me my friends?

I bet $100US the weapon wasn't legally owned or obtained.

Now - in light of the fact I don't want this to be yet another dead ended 2nd Amendment blah blah blah (it will only be three blahs cause B744F has deleted himself) thread . . . I will say again . . .

Glad the police got this nut job and that no one died . . . .

I was more concerned about Heston's bad taste than about your 2nd Amendment rights.  Wink

If there had been people in the mall liscensed to legally carry a concealed weapon, the SWAT team would not have been needed.

I am the only one who noticed that six people have been shot and one is in critical condition? I guess "okay" just means the opposite of dead now.  confused

Nope....I noticed it when I posted the thread. 'Okay' in this sense means alive.

I'd make the bet that in Alaska . . . just a small bet . . . that after the first three wounded the assailant would have been a pulp of blood and biomass in a mall hallway . . .just a guess though . . . something about incoming round disturbs us up here . . .
EDIT HERE: We'll shoot your sorry ass where you stand . . . period . . . this ain't the Wild West . . . but this ain't wuss country either . . .

Ahh, no worries about the clean up . . . mop, bucket, water, couple doses of bleach, more water . . . . . next?

Ah yes...that's what we want: crossfire. I have no problem with people owning guns but I think that they should be required to register themselves as such and pass a training course so that some idiot tries to play self-defense and wind up killing more people than he saves.

If there had been people in the mall licensed to legally carry a concealed weapon, these shootings would happen on a daily basis, killing thousands, and Tacoma would look even more like GTA: San Andreas.

Seriously, the people down there are crazy. The Tacoma Aroma is a good enough reason to avoid that city, but it isn't the only one.

You might want to stop going to malls then.. I can promise you there are probably quite a few people packing in there already.

Oh wait, that is just if you live in any of the states where it is legal to carry, which Washington isn't, apparently.

I challenge you to find one case where the holder of a concealed weapons permit used their legally concealed weapon for an act like this.

The guy who did this deserves quite alot of jail time, even if no one dies.

There is one thing that bugs me however. In my "Breaking news" e-mails from CNN, the headline read "The suspect who shot six people in Tacoma is in custody," What happened to being innocent until proven guilty? CNN says he is the suspect who shot six people, not the man suspected of shooting six people. Normally I wouln't care, except this is one of the world's largest media outlets, who not long ago started with it's "Trust CNN" slogan, which isn't really that confidence-inspiring. Any thoughts?

Cheers
