Chicken Dance Elmo

Wed Nov 30, 2005 9:03 am

Does anyone here have Chicken Dance Elmo? I do! He's quite loud and lively the way he does the Chicken Dance song and dances to it.

My mother, just the other day, sent a Christmas package from home in Indiana to me here in London. In it was Chicken Dance Elmo! She knows I love the Elmo toys that shake/dance/sing/whatever when you press on them; they're so adorable--and so addictive. At home in Indiana, whenever I passed one in Wal-Mart or something, I would squeeze Tickle Me Elmo's toes (or the toes of another similar Elmo doll) and watch him do his thing.

But I had never seen or heard of Chicken Dance Elmo until I opened my Christmas care package and found him.

Is this a new version of the Elmo toy? Please let me know more of his history!
When did Chicken Dance Elmo first come out?

No not new, it's been around at least 3 years. We gave our daughter one in 2002. Kids absolutely love him. The year after Limbo Elmo was hot.

This year the hot Elmo gift is one that allows you to program in certain information (i.e. the child's name, birthdate, and other data) via a computer and download it into the Elmo via USB cable.

Elmo then addresses the child by name and "interacts" with them.

"If you want to be a chicken if you want to be a duck"
"If you want to be a chicken if you want to be a duck"
"If you want to be a chicken if you want to be a duck"
"If you want to be a chicken if you want to be a duck"
"If you want to be a chicken if you want to be a duck"
Hypocrisy. It's the new black for liberals.
