Did The NFL Appologize Or Not?

Wed Nov 30, 2005 12:49 pm

Well it seems that today the NFL appologized to Mike Holgrem and the rest of the Seattle Seahawks for the two controversial Giants touchdowns during the game. These calls went to replay and the NFL allegedly admited that they botched the calls and awarded the touchdowns to the Giants.

Now fast forward 12 hours.

The NFL now says that they never admited that the refs botched these two calls during the game and deny that they told the Seahawks that.

I guess it doesn't matter since Seattle won eventually, but it does indicate that the Giants are not as good as the score would indicate.

The thing for the Seahawks fan to take from this game is the fact that the Seahawks can put points on the board, even when a defense is successful in shutting down Alexander.

The Amani Toomer touchdown was most definitely a touchdown. ESPN showed it on prime time and they said it was a touchdown and the commentators that did the game said it was a touchdown.

I not sure which Shockey touchdown they are disputing. (he scored twice)

Seriously, who cares? If the "bad calls" cost you the game thats one thing, but the Seagulls still won. Its a non-issue.
