Quoting Mhodgson (Reply 4):
the line they were travelling on between Sheffield and London has no 125mph sections.
Quoting AsstChiefMark (Reply 3):
So what? A couple of Southwest pilots did travelling three times faster.
Quoting Noelg (Reply 8):
Now don't get me wrong you wouldn't catch me butt naked on a train but surely these trains have autopilot things on them? Why would getting your kit off be "playing russian roulette with passengers' lives"?
Quoting Scbriml (Reply 10):
I'm no sad anorak of a train-spotter (that's self deprecating humour by the way!), but I think all UK trains have to be driven with the driver depressing/operating a "dead man's handle" otherwise brakes are automatically applied. So unless they're very good at undressing with just one hand while still operating the DMH (maybe a new version of Twister?), it might imply that they somehow "cheated" the DMH. Now that would be dangerous and certainly justify disciplinary action.
Quoting RODOL (Reply 11):
The dead-mans handle is actually a foot pedal
