How Long Do You Steep Your Tea/coffee?

Tue Dec 13, 2005 10:43 am

When making a cup of tea, how long do you let it steep before drinking?

If you use a coffee press to make a cup, how long do you let it sit before drinking?

Tea, maybe 5 minutes or so, and when using a bag, I never squeeze it.

Coffee press, I actually stir the water with a spoon, otherwise all the grounds just sort of float on the top. When it all settles to the bottom, I press the filter down and enjoy.  Smile

Tea, three to five minutes depending on what it is. I'm partial to Tazo Awake and the Calm. I like to steep the Calm a bit longer as it's a fairly weak tea.

I don't use a coffee press . . . but you can't beat fresh ground Kaladi Brothers Special Roast in the morning . . .
