Fun Game... Guess The Song!

Fri Dec 16, 2005 12:51 pm

Very simple: post lyrics, and then guess what the song is! Anyone can participate, I'll start off the bidding:

On top of the sky is a place where you go if you've done nothing wrong,
If you've done nothing wrong.

And down in the ground is a place where you go if you've been a bad boy,
If you've been a bad boy.

Why can't we have eternal life,
And never die,
Never die?

In the place up above you grow feather wings and you fly round and round,
With a harp singing hymns.

And down in the ground you grow horns and a tail and you carry a fork,
And burn away.

Why can't we have eternal life, And never die,

Never die?

Hint: The writer of this song died in 2001, and was the bassist of the band... (I probably just gave it away...)
Scotty doesn't know...

True, unfortunately. I could be mean and post lyrics from demo bands and stump everyone, but resist  Smile

BTW, Heaven And Hell is an incredible song when performed live. It was The Who's opening number for many years, and you know that an openner for them has got to be good. I also heard Entwistle play it solo, and you forget all about the rest of the band as you listened to the incredible runs he'd do on a bass.

Can you tell I'm an Ox fan? Big grin
