Charitable Christmas Presents

Mon Dec 19, 2005 6:25 am

That time of year has come where I start to think "what should I buy my parents this year?" Rather than buying 'the usual', i.e. something that is appreciated but not a necessity, I'm tempted to contribute to a charity in one way or another. I'm considering maybe sponsoring a child (although £180 over the course of a year, and I am a lowly student!) or paying for a goat/sheep for a poor family in Africa or Asia (nearer £30-£50). So - anybody else here considering it, or done it?
