Bwahahahaha.

Could have been worse, booked London, ON instead of London, UK.

Or if you're looking to stay somewhere in Ontario, Canada, you get yourself a room in Ontario, CA!

On a similar note, concerning train tickets: A Japanese newlywed couple were on their honeymoon in Stockholm, and were continuing on to Venice in Italy. They got to the train station, and asked for two tickets to Venice. Problem was, when Japanese people who are not so schooled in English say "Venice" it sounds like "Benes". Which in turn, the ticket agent thought to mean Vännäs, a town in the north of Sweden. They got on the train, and woke up in Vännäs the next morning. When the mistake was cleared up, the Swedish railroad company SJ treated them to a free trip to Venice.

Cheers

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.

We had a couple in the UK booking cheap tickets to Sydney. It was only when their AC plane arrived in Sydney ,Newfoundland that they realised their mistake!

I hate to admit it.... but... yes. Someone gave me the name of a place in another city, I called to book for the weekend. The clerk sounded rather puzzled, and said " most of our guests stay considerably longer than that". I said, "what do you mean?". When she said "are you a terminal case?", I realized that I had tried to book at a convalescent old age home.
(I can't believe I'm even admitting this)

I've heard of people buying airline tickets from Norflok, Nebraska instead of Norflok, Virigina.
