Your Personal New Year's Day Traditions

Thu Dec 29, 2005 8:54 am

Do you have a personal New Year's Day tradition (as opposed to a more general practice in your city or country)? Do you go out with friends to Times Square, or your local equivalent?

(A tradition is defined for the purpose of this message as something that you do habitually, as opposed to an isolated plan.)

Do you haunt a local watering hole, watching Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve on ABC (or whatever they call it) -- or, again, your local equivalent?

Do you pop the champagne cork with friends at exactly midnight, and sing Auld Lang Syne?

Or, do you celebrate quietly at home, by yourself or with your spouse?

Have your New Year's Day traditions changed over the years?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
