Going For My Commercial Rating This Weekend!

Thu Dec 29, 2005 5:18 pm

Fellow Anetters and pilots.

I have an (obvious) unhealthy obsession for aviation. This weekend I'll be attemping my commercial rating in a C182. Lord willing, all goes well and I'm buying my instructor many beers.

Would love to hear any stories about check rides or flights about your ratings.

We only had 5 Dell trucks tonight, and got the FX DC10er off 9 minutes early.
I am having a great week so far!

I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning! (Cept those CAT 727s...Christ!)

I've gotta go drown myself in the Jeppesen books now. Wish me luck guys!!!

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Advice - it's not over till it's OVER. On my PPL checkride, I did everything very well. Well above standards. Shortfield, softfield, it was all great. Checkride passed, just gotta go land it and tie it down and get my piece of paper! So we're coming back to the airport to land, and I totally biffed it. Did I pass? NO!! I screwed up on a normal landing. Gah....

It's not over till the fat lady sings!
