Anyone Here Done The Vegas Thing For New Years?

Sat Dec 31, 2005 1:06 pm

Ok so some SWA buddies of mine are trying to plan to head out to Vegas tomorrow evening. I am thinking about joining them but would need to hurry back first thing in the AM. Is it worth it to deal with all the New Years crowds and chaos just for a few overnight hours in Vegas? What's it like? Do they actually close the strip, blocking any traffic through the area? How is finding a cab at such a time? This is a very last minute idea. Just want to find some info from those who have been through this before. Any help? Thanks!
