My wife's car is "Pearlie" because of the pearlescent paint and the fact that her last car was "Ruby."

Can't tell you the name of my current car because I use that word for something else. I used to have a Datsun 1600 Roadster (with a Mazda 13B rotary engine) which I called "Cogburn" or "Roadster Cogburn" after John Wayne's character in True Grit.

My wife calls our Ford pickup "the Bitch" but it would not be prudent to say why.

The old '69 Land Cruiser is called either the "Land Crusher" or "The Tapioca" or, occasionally "Miss Tesmacher" because it goes north on demand. (esoteric movie reference)

I knew I should've explained that, lol. I LOOOOVE AA...work for them, actually, so I got the plate. I also like jetBlue, for countless reasons. Oddly enough I've never flown jetBlue.

I love my car to death and thought it needed a name, and given its color and my fascination with aviation, I felt "jetBlue" was a fitting name. A couple of years ago I wrote jetBlue's online store asking for a B6 license plate frame. They said "sorry we don't carry those, but will keep it in mind." I've yet to find one. Do you know if they are made?

Hope that answers your question.  Smile

I sometimes refer to my silver paint 2000 Mercury Cougar (2.5L V-6, Auto Trans, sports package, called a Ford Cougar outside the USA) as the "Silver Bullet", especially on the interstates when the cops aren't around.

"The Airbusmobile"

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v300/BuffsandEagles/Airbusmobile.jpg

Got its name because of the 2 Airbus stickers on either side of the license plate, which were the first to go on the car...also in the rear seat pockets you can find actual safety cards from an Airbus...though very few people that I personally know are aware of the cards stashed back there cause the pockets are huge and I don't advertise their presence...

First, I own a beautiful forest-green 1998 Pontiac Bonneville SE/SSEi sedan, which has gotten the nickname "Green Hornet".

Secondly, my mom owns a blue 1998 Volvo V70 station wagon, which she calls "Greta", reflecting my mom's Swedish heritage. I love her station wagon, too, and I drive it whenever Mom and I go somewhere.

Someday, I would love to own a big metallic-green station wagon (like the colour of my 1998 Bonneville)! I don't know what I'd call it, but it might end up being another "Green Hornet"!
