Too early for appointments

Mon Jan 16, 2006 5:28 am

I often have this problem where I am always too early for appointments. For some reason I always like to turn up early. Have you ever turned up for an appointment too early? And if so how do you cope?

I always arriver early, and usually hang around feeling awkward. But it sets off a better impression than arriving late!

I hate coming late but I am always in a rush to come on time. I hate people who come late. It wastes time.

Why doesn't this thread surprise me?  Silly

Well, yes... buses into town are messed up... they leave on the hour (10:00, 11:00 etc) and it takes 15 minutes to get into town... so when I have an appointment at, let's say, 4, I have to take the bus that leaves at 3 and arrives into town at 3:15... 45 minutes to spend...  grumpy

I can go shopping or something... but the town is REALLY small, so that's not a lot of fun... so I normally go to the library and just read... they have a little section with travel books, that's always a good way to waste time  Smile

What do you mean?   Have you never gone for a job interview and turned up half an hour too early?

As the Marines say, 5 minutes early is 10 minutes late. Other than that, grow a pair.  Big grin

It is prefreable to show up 15 minutes early to an appointment. Anything later than that is late. In addition, it would be benifical to grow some testicals.

Of course, if he's a marine he's overstimulated with having to handle heavy weaponry all day... Wink

Yes, but is it his own "heavy weaponry" he is handling or someone else's?
