Panoramas Are Hard!

Ive been trying in photoshop to do a couple panoramas and wow it is hard.Especially the fact that i dont have a tripod Big grin heres the first two i did. I didnt work that much on the second one, so seams are clearly visable.

A friend of mine has a tripod head that puts the swivel axis of the tripod directly under the center of the lens. If you think about it, when you swing the camera you are changing the actual point-of-view from which the picture is taken. This mount (fairly expensive) minimizes that.

Another factor is that you are trying to lap a right edge of one frame over the left edge of the next. Left and right sides of the pictures have opposite distortions. Even the photo stitching software has trouble with that.

BTW this would get more, quicker, better service in the Photography forum.

Get Autostitch, it works brilliant!

Also, make sure you use the same settings (shutterspeed etc) for each photo.
Destruction leads to a very rough road but it also breeds creation
