Moscow: Some Ideas?

Tue Jan 17, 2006 12:42 am

I will be in Moscow for a week end of April for business reason. Staying at Marco Polo hotel, which is near the Tverskaya. So, what are the things to do or dont touch there?

whats up with

- night flight
- hungry duck
- planet hollywood

where its best to spend a nice night out, if one isnt in for paying girls?

If you're not into paying for girls, then I'd give NightFlight a miss!
Haven't heard of the Hungry Duck, and don't think there's a Planet Hollywood in Russia (maybe it's a 'local' one).

Haven't been on a night out in Moscow for a long time, so things will have changed a lot.

Have a great time anyway, I'm sure some of the Russian A.netters will be able to come up with something more useful!

LOL that's ridiculous. Its a regular city, and you'll have a blast. I've past the Marco Polo hotel many times, but its quite isolated. At least that's what I remember. If memory serves me right, its not on a major street. But anyways, that shouldn't be a problem.
Night life, you really have to research. I've heard many different reviews. The center of the city is great at night. Very beautiful. The weather in April should be good as well. Not like now that is. Its -30 degrees Celsius today!! If you need any detailed info, just email me.

Jeez, Nightflight is still there? I haven't been to Moscow in about 10 years, and Nightflight was already notorious then for its "professionals". God, they were gorgeous...

A friend of mine and I had a running bet about how long we could have a conversation with one of the girls before she realized that we were not interested in paying for anything. My friend held the record at around 30 minutes.

The one time I have to admit being tempted to drop a load of money was when I met a pair of identical twins. Short brunettes, and drop-dead beautiful. Oh, God, was I tempted. $400 for the pair.

But I didn't. I still wonder if it was the right thing to do Sad
