Helmet Head? Or Rolltop?

Sat Jan 21, 2006 9:32 pm

I have just been reading the "Muslim Question" thread ..

Muslim Question (by IceTitan447 Jan 20 2006 in Non Aviation)

but I think I have hijacked enough myself that I now need to start a new topic - please dont read any further if you are squeamish.

Firstly , I want to make it clear that I do not intend to be offensive to either Muslims or Jews ... but the subject of circumcision came up on the other thread and I as a nonMuslim/Jew I am curious and have some questions if anyone feels up to answering them for me

1/ do adults converting to either religion have to undergo the operation ?

2/ a poster on the other thread claimed that circumcision lowers STD
transmission and reduces rates of penile cancer - anyone have ( pardon
the pun ) hard facts on this ?

3/ I have been told that 'cut' men have less sensitive penises than 'intact'
men - despite the reputation that gay men have for being sluts I haven't
actually slept around all that much .. and only in western countries where
obviously circumcision is a lot less common ... anyone with a bit more
experience of both types care to tell me whether they think there is any
truth to this

4/ apparently sometimes adult males have to undergo circumcision for
medical reasons .... obviously anyone who has had this done is in a
pretty good position to advise whether sex/orgasm was more intense
before or after ... so , anyone who has been there , done that and is
brave enough to tell Anet ?

Helmet Head? Or Rolltop?

There have been a fair few very entertaining threads on this. Just ask TWFirst!  Wink

That said, I'm firmly on the rolltop side.

Having only ever experience one side of things, I'm afraid I can't answer most of your questions.

I do know that men wanting to convert to Jusaism or Islam do need to get themselves circumcised.

I knew a Parsee man here who wanted to get married to a Muslim woman. They decided he would convert and he went through the surgery at the age of 30. And the they broke up. What a waste!

Also, men who are "already cut" and want to convert to Judaism, are required in many temples to go through a symbolic circumcision. I don't know the details but a drop of blood is drawn from the area.

It's usually easier to polish helmets than it is to dust every nook and cranny of a rolltop.

If you wish to convert to a religion who does not practice circumcision.....Is there a prosthetic foreskin on the market or can you have an eyelid transplanted there or just grab one from a cadaver?

Never really understood the reasons given to circumcise other than for a legitimate medical concern such as phimosis.

Also never understood why religions profess the removal of a body part which was placed there by the very "maker" they believe in.

If it wasn't meant to be there, then it wouldn't be there.

Not to imply that I have, but. . .
In the States circumcision for guys in my age range (30-50) is more the norm than the exception. They got this wild notion back in the early 20th century that it was the thing to do, and as far as I know it's still the 'norm' for most infants, although the practice is (luckily) declining. It wasn't until I started traveling to Europe in my late 20s that I ran into any uncut guys.

As far as the cleanliness issue, my only comment is that you can quickly tell if an uncut guy hasn't showered in a day or two, whereas, just dealing w/ the 'helmet' it's not so obvious on a circumcised guy.

Having said that, I prefer the full deal, my partner is as nature intended, and it works for both of us. I don't notice him being any more sensitive than me though.
