Say It In The Language(s) You Know...

Tue Jan 31, 2006 7:21 am

Hello, I am James. How are you? - English

Helo, fi yw James. Sut da chdi? - Welsh

Hola, soy James. ¿Cómo estas? - Spanish

I can also say it in Japanese, but I can't write it.

I can also say 'hello, how are you?' in Bosnian - Cao, kako si? - but I can't say 'I am James.'

Hoe u bent is not the proper way to say how are you... ive accidentally done it once and got flamed on MSN.

the proper term is hoe gaat het which means how goes it and you'd reply back - het gaat goed - it goes good.

Afrikaans is so cool!
I really like the krueger park translation,
"nationale kruger wildtuin"
translated to pure english from what I understand in dutch it would say,
"national kruger wild garden"

Is a heart surgeon really called "hartslager"?
(english would translate as "heartbutcher")
and a subway,"moltrein"?
(a moletrain)
those are in fact nice translated dutch words!
in dutch they are called "hartchirurg" and plain "metro".
