Your Valentines Plans.....?

Wed Feb 01, 2006 9:50 am

Ok, so what are your plans for Valentines? Are you treating the love of your life to cozy night in, or a heavy night out??

Spill the beans

Jeez. I spent $500 last valentine's day.

I really wanted that new video card.

Don't know yet - depends on our shifts - hopefully something nice - if we're off from work then it'll probably be a cozy night in unless he has plans I don't yet know about !!

we'll probably just go out to dinner somewhere..as a valentine present I got my wife (and I) tickets to see Aerosmith in Manchester, NH but that's not until 3/9. So, we'll celebrate that with dinner before and we're staying at a hotel that night.

This Valentines Day will mark my 21st birthday so I will probably go out to a bar and have a few drinks with my brother/dad.

I will also do something special with my girlfriend.

After spending a lovely day at work avoiding questioning from my co-workers regarding the name of the young lady I fancy, but won't ask out, I'll come home to plant myself in front of the computer. I will also avoid any Valentine related threads on a certain Swedish aviation website.
I lift things up and put them down.

After 22 years of marriage the Valentines thing is not really a big deal to us anymore but last year I tied a red ribbon around my manhood and flashed Mrs Jafa, shouting "Happy *****ing Valentines Day!"...started the day off with a laugh! which is really what its all about, if I got all smoochy Mrs J would think I'd been at the Ajax and if I bought her flowers her first thought would be "What's he guilty of?".

So this year I might surprise her with....a blue ribbon!

Well having done the surprise trips to Venice and the like for Valentines in the past, things have settled down as time has gone in my relationship and we don't make a big deal of it any more.

However having missed his birthday by being in Kuala Lumpur and our anniversary by being in Cape Town - both times while he was stuck back at home in Staines, I'm under a little gentle pressure to do something nice this time  Wink

So pizza and video it is then Big grin

Dear oh dear. You don't get it do you?  Yeah sure

I provide my clients inaccurate reports so that a year later i can charge an equally large sum of money to do the same report again claiming that "market conditions have changed somewhat from the original report and our figures will need to be revisited in light of these changes."

You see - thats how it works.

In my original report I said you were a buffoon. In the next one i will revise that to say you are a waste of space (and charge double)  Silly

Here's my plans.............get up at 6:30am, be in work around 7:15am. Plan my route, load up the van and drive around the city for 2-3 hours delivering roses etc to ppl. Come back, do the same x 4 and then maybe at 7pm i'll get to park the van. It's the busiest day or the year, the most pressured day of the year, but also the BEST....................there's hardly a single person that doesn't break down when i hand them flowers and say 'happy valentines day'. Best part of the job is knowing you made some1's day.

Cheers
