Hmmmmmm.... ice cream  yummy

It is the same here in Germany, ice cream parlours used to close during the winter months and the owners usually went home to Italy, but since a few years most ice cream parlours stay also open in the winter months and they are well visited despite it is only 3°C outside.

I was going to say they're probably selling more than just ice cream... Don't Chavs drive these things around?

When I was a kid my Mum and Dad told me that if the ice cream van was playing its chimes it meant that they'd run out.  grumpy

Not usually, it's more young people/former chavs. Good in the summer, not sure about now though.  cold

By the way, does someone remember these ice cream van jokes from Trigger Happy TV?

Usually the guy stopped his ice cream van somewhere and let someone order something, then he said: "One moment", went out of the back door and sat down in a folding chair on the roof of the van to read the newspaper. The guy who ordered something stood a few minutes in front of the van until he realized that the ice cream guy sat on the roof. Big grin

That was so incredible funny that I am still laughing about it.

What do you mean they've only just started, they haven't stopped since last summer!

Every day at 3pm, with the exception of Christmas/Boxing Day, the little Transit thingy comes round playing that "Ding........Ding ding dong dong" tune!

For something even funnier, the sandwich van that comes round at work plays the "Fast Food Song" on the chimes - that's always funny to hear!  Smile

Never stop here, as they also sell sweets, fags and Class A narcotics.

Besides which it's been sunny and warm here today. Up to 13 degrees celsius according to the car thermometer.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find my own way there...
