You don´t need to start a thread in order to get the appropriate information. Just try to look at the profile of the A.netter you´re wondering about, using link http://www.airliners.net/discussions/profile.main?username=12345678
with 12345678 being the Username in question.

The only problem might be to use the proper codes for "space" or "blank" or "@" contained in a username ...

Just a minor nitpick: hypo-sensitive would actually mean under-sensitive, but I guess that wasn't the idea here...!

You can't have a minor nitpick. You either nitpick or you don't. It's like saying someone's slightly pregnant.  Wink

Do I suffer from hallucinations or has a post about a poster with an airline-name like a star-constellation just disappeared ? Supposedly because that post did NOT praise the intelligence of the poster in question ?

Ignoring any and all instances of bitching, backstabbing, cattiness, sulking and general misanthrope does mean I am generally speaking above all instances and events such as those detailed above, and can thus remain in my customary aloof and superior position.  snooty

On the other hand, it also means I read things like this wondering what the bloody hell you are all on about. Big grin

Favourite armchair in the local garage, where they spent two hours running diagnostics (or more likely, 1 hour 55 mins drinking tea and 5 mins doing the job) on why my engine management system warning light was on, only to tell me it was because of a faulty sensor. Sensor replaced, bank account £110 lighter.  grumpy   grumpy   grumpy

Just to clarify, neither swearing nor linking to JP.net are an automatic ban in and of themselves. This happened a couple of times in the recent past, however it was a miscommunication, and has since been resolved. Obviously, as with all our rules, if you repeatedly do it, even when we have asked you not to, then you will find yourself suspended...

We do not permit links to JP.net, and will delete posts that link to it. This has been discussed a lot in the past, and I do not think there is any need to get into it again. Needless to say, other than Kaz's post, which I have left in for information purposes, it should not be linked to again in this thread, or in any other.

We do allow a limited amount of swearing, however it must not be overused, must not be in thread titles, and must not be directed at other users. Offensive comments which are directed at other users (including swearing) are grounds for a ban, as they always have been.

I hope this clarifies the two misconceptions that seem to have come about recently.

AFAIK, a long running battle between Anet and JPnet, as it is reckoned that JPnet stole the layout of Anet. I think legal action may have been taken; but essentially Johan sees them as competition and insists no links to their photos are made (despite the fact many are dupilicated).

That probably isn't the full story, but it is what I have gleaned from assorted people!

Well, we could take that as linking as well really - it is implied. Then again, you said 'I have some really good pics', so obviously we are talking about an imaginary website  tongue .

Seriously though, we have been asked to enforce this, and we are all happy to do so. It has been explained a number of times in Site Related. Without going to deeply into the issue, we do not wish to advertise a site which is in competition to this one. Please just help us out and respect the wishes of this site's administration on the matter.

Let's return this thread to the subject of GKirk, please...
