Holy Cow! StuckinMAF is a cycling fan? And respects my man Ullrich, as well? Wow - newfound respect for StuckinMAF!
I think the Vancouver Olympics are going to be just great. I think Canada will do better with medals there, too. For those who can't enjoy the winter games, and feel the need to tear them down; it's your loss, unfortunately. Airlinelover, why are you always so mad these days??
And AerospaceFan, I'm afraid i don't get your point. About 25% of Canada is francophone, and French has an important cultural history in almost
all the rest of the provinces, too. At least 7 provinces have at least a handful of towns where French is the main language. A minority, of course. But not insignificant. No one will deny that English is the language of the larger majority, but why NOT use French, as well? It's problematic to FORCE the use of french, but if there's room and opportunity to use both, why object?
Anyway, I didn't see the closing ceremonies, so I don't know specifically what yo'ure referring to, anyway. But I will remind you that French is also one of the official languages of the olympics - so you will hear things in French at every single olympics. Did you notice there was French (along with English and Italian) spoken at every single medal ceremony?
Next flight.... who knows.
