Favourite has to be the Scouse accent due to a certain man in my life at the moment.... its not a too heavy Scouse accent but its there. I have trouble understanding the Scots sometimes tho.

South England/US or Australia by far, second the Kiwi accent.

All I can say is I do not like the NY accent

Yeah it is but on some people it can sound very sexy. Think its the tone of voice that people have too.

I love the Australian accent, or a soft Southern US accent. I cant stand the Midwest/Chicago accent.

The worst is the upper Midwest accent with the really nasal sounding "o's" That's one of the things I really hate about living in Wisconsin. The accent is driving me crazy!

The southern belle accent sounds pretty for like 20 minutes then I start to lose interest in the conversation because she is talking too slowly.

I hate the accents from Liverpool and sorts.

My favourite accent is the Irish followed by Scottish.

I'm not sure of the names of each dialect. But Elizabeth Hurley has an accent that sounds great to me.

NY-Bronx(New Yoke!) and a Dublin accent!

I picked up a long island accent from my grandmother when I was a little boy crossing the pond each year in the summer. She was married with a dude from the Bronx and she now lives in between Buffalo and Rochester.

I had problems with the US accent once I "learned" english at school...
In Belgium you need to talk Oxford english in school, and they use complelely different words...
I often got a subway for a tube, a restroom for a toilet and a cab for a taxi wrong in exams!

But I never stopped talking the accent!

Well, I could listen to Her Majesty all day long and enjoy, or Prince of Wales.

I like challenging accents (Scottish, Irish, even the one from "Eastenders). It is too easy to watch BBC documentaries and enjoy the accent.

As for the US, I like Chicago and their accent, but, again, I love challenges, so if I ever visit the United States, I woulsd love to spend some time in the southern states of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, etc. just to listen to them (and to try to understand it, as well).

I could listen to a South African speak all day. It wouldn't even matter what they were saying, their accents are so great. The Welsh also have nice accents I find.

My least favourites are Australian and some of the heavies from Southern USA.

I had an Irish-Dublin accent for the last two days I spent in Dublin, then it vanished upon my arrival back in the states...too bad!

I became friends with a lot of chicago kids when I was an undergrad and started saying things like:

"absolutely" or "exactly"

in that nice chicago way.

I am from Iowa however, the place where news organizations from across the United States seek on-air talent because of our lack of accent...I can't remember what exactly our way of speaking is called...something like "standard american...something". but yeah.

Eastern European accents are the sexiest accents ever on women  Wink

The worst BY FAR has to be an Egyptian accent... strong Egyptian accents in English make it absolutley impossible to understand anything, and they are hilarious to listen to.
